Just released my first major update to the site of the year and there was bound to be a bug. This one was particularly good. IE6, IE7 and IE8 don’t send HTTP Referrer along with a JavaScript location.href call and there is no plans to change this for IE9 either. Still an active bug for it “HTTP REFERER header not set when location.href is used for page navigation” on Microsoft Connect. Anyway this means recoding my search profiles page to use a anchor tag as a block element and then using spans inside it to contain all the users data. Making sure that the HTTP Referrer is passed along helps with analytics for my pages.
We’re getting to the point where paging results is becoming more important so today I’ve added a back to the beginning of the search results button when you’re past page 5. This feature comes by users request! I’m so happy to hear feedback from my users. Thanks everyone for continuing to help DiveIntoThePool.com become the best free online dating site!
